24 Hours in LA
A literal day in the life.
Ok, let me just preface this by saying that I am not that person who’s trying to compete in the busy-ness Olympics. I don’t think it’s a flex to be busy, or a problem either. As a mom of two boys, a founder of two businesses, and a working esthetician, I just do my best to make it work. And more and more lately, “making it work” means flying to LA and back for a quick day or two. Here’s how I did it recently, had fun, and stayed totally sane:
This trip, I took the flight in late on Thursday and checked into the hotel for a proper night’s sleep. I always stay in West Hollywood since it’s generally central to our brand events and walkable to food, shopping and workouts.
I woke up early Friday for class at Silver Springs. (Has there ever been a more beautiful workout studio?) No matter where I go or how long/short the trip, I always try to get a workout or two in. It helps me adjust to the time zone, sweat out the plane ride, and get energized for the rest of the day.
After that, I popped over to the very cute Madhappy store on Melrose and had a coffee, bought a sweater on sale at Ganni, and had lunch at Great White.
The hotel is just around the corner, so I headed back for a business drink (I’m into hugo spritzes rn), then cabbed to Sunset Tower for an influencer dinner where we launched our new mini System set and gave everyone a preview of our next product. Get excited…

The next day, I started the day bright and early at Silver Springs again and then headed to Sephora in Culver City where we had our Skin Jelly truck parked outside with free slushies and samples. (Everyone had blue tongues by the end of the day, it was very cute.)
Finally, I popped my head into the Formula Fig around the corner, hit up In n Out, and then headed right back to airport to make it home in time for my son, Rocco’s birthday the next day.
The flight home was probably the best I’ve ever been on as Knicks won and the plane went wild! It was a great time to be returning to New York.
Until next time.
xx
